Chelsea Books to Close at Year End

Unfortunately another Ottawa Valley bookstore, Chelsea Books, will be closing it’s doors at the end of the year.  Until then, they plan to have end-of-the-month book sales on everything in the store at 50% off.  Next sale will be Thursday October 28 – Saturday October 30, 11 till 6pm.  Sad to see another bricks & mortar store go, but at least it [...]

Very Cool Zombie Poster

Saw this poster (check the zoom feature to see the detailed work) over at Boing Boing and think I may have to buy one for the press room.  It’s a highly detailed typographic dream for zombie lovers incorporating nearly 1000 titles of zombie movies, books, games, etc. 

A library desk made of books

This comes from the very cool Recyclart site.   A huge library desk created from stacked books at TU Delft creates a pretty interesting impression upon entering the library.  More photos here.

Paper Workshop coming up this October

 These workshops are very well done and a great way to spend a Saturday.  Space is usually limited, so be sure to register early.
