Just a quick humorous post to tide you over until we are fully back at the shop and ready to go. Will start posting on our Anticipation adventure starting tomorrow once I’ve got the boxes unpacked and photos loaded up. In the meantime, a little literary humour sent by a friend:

The Bytown Bookshop will be closed for a couple weeks as we take a break from the shop to flog our wares at Anticipation this week and then enjoy a nice relaxing week off to collect ourselves. Â We will be back at our regular hours starting August 14th.
We’ve been busy buying (what else is there to do on a rainy day?) and have acquired a couple of nice collections. One is a rather scholarly theology collection with a focus on the Old Testament, Middle Eastern studies, and Stoicism. Many have been catalogued and are available on our ABE site and in our shop. The second was a nice little collection of books on Hirohito and the many facets of modern Japan. Here is a pic of a few we’ve put up on display.
